Speakers: Marc BUEHLER is the Head Singapore at ti&m, the Swiss leader in digitalization, security and innovation projects and products. Marc has 20 years of experience in software engineering and digitalization projects. He has been a Blockchain technology enthusiast and advocate since 2011. He will speak about real-world applications of Blockchain beyond Decentralized Finance. Marco TOMAMICHEL is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore where he does research on quantum technologies. His interest in the topic of blockchain started with the question on whether blockchain technology is vulnerable to attacks by quantum computers. He will give a quick introduction to the technology behind blockchain, namely digital signatures and consensus through proof of work. Raphael Walker works in business development at Accredify and discovered his passion for blockchain technology through a simple on-chain transaction. Accredify's verifiable credentialing platform enables organisations to easily create, issue and manage tamper-proof, instantly verifiable documents. He will talk about current use cases with educational transcripts and degrees, corporate documents, health records, authentication documents, licences and more. YU Qianchen is the Singapore director and Decentralized Technology Architect at HOPR, a Swiss startup focusing on private data transfer solutions. Qianchen has been working in web3 (primarily in Ethereum ecosystem) since 2018. She is going to talk about privacy challenges in decentralized network.
