What we do

emineo focuses on IT consultancy and software engineering and can tap into extensive technological know-how (JAVA, SAP etc.). More than 160 qualified and experienced consultants and IT engineers conceive and develop innovative solutions and products – for example, for process optimisation in the health sector, banks, insurance companies, energy, manufacturing or in the field of eGovernment in public administration.

Over our 20-year history, we have completed more than 3,000 projects for 250 different customers. We are delighted that our first two customers still purchase their digitalisation services from us today (and that is something that cannot be taken for granted).

Who we are looking for

We are looking for software engineers with a degree in information technology or information management, knowledge of Java and (basic) experience as a software engineer.

We are looking for employees with the following technical and personal skills:

• Have completed a higher education course in information technology or information management (university, ETH, college of higher education)
• Customer focus and high quality standards
• Experience in developing solutions based on Java technologies/Open Source frameworks
• Experience of agile software development
• Knowledge of topics such as: JAVA frameworks for dependency injection, O/R mapping and access control (Spring, Hibernate), JAVA application server (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere or WildFly), Spring, Vaadin, cloud technologies (Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes), database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, Maria DB)
• Excellent spoken and written German language skills (for our Swiss customers)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly, coupled with a high degree of self-motivation, a solutions-focused mindset and a keen sense of curiosity
• Good team player and excellent communication skills
• Enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams
• Pronounced analytical and conceptual skills, the ability to get the job done and quick to grasp new situations
