Process Alumni

The Process Alumni group encourages numerous forms of contact, colleagues to share their experiences and members to network - especially between industry and universities (ETH). Since members work in a whole host of different fields, this provides insight into the vast professional field of (materials processing) engineering. Presentations on current technical, economical and social issues broaden members’ horizons. The group is also very friendly and has a great social side too.

It also promotes:

• meeting old and new (IPE previously IVUK) colleagues
• making new contacts
• networking between industry / university, contact with the Institute for Process Engineering (IPE previously IVUK) by P. Rüdiger
• feedback on experiences of the ETH Career Services provided by ETH Alumni
   

We invite you to four events a year to enable us extend and maintain our network and to enable you to meet your peers. We organise presentations of relevance to our professional field.

Graduates (BSc, MSc), matriculated students starting at the Bachelor level, PhD students, postdocs and lecturers of the Mechanical and Process Engineering Departement (D-MAVT) at ETH Zurich can join (general membership requirement at ETH Alumni). For members, there are several benefits.

After completion from ETH Zurich, graduates are automatically included as alumni. The membership is free of charge until the age of 27, as of the year of the 28th birthday, a membership fee is automatically due, independent of how old the graduate was at completion of the studies.
