We wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. The office of the ETH Alumni will be closed from 24.12.2018 to 6.1.2019. We are looking forward to being there for you again from 7.1.2019.

Already for the (at least for now) last time we choose an «Alumnus of the month». The completion of our twelve-part series is Dominique Michel. After his HST master’s degree in « medical technologies » and a year of project-leading experience at ETH juniors he works now by Oakura Ventures AG as STO (Security Token Offering) lead.

Basile biked from Paris to Hong Kong. His exploit took him 16 months and 4 days. His stories and pictures raptured the ETH Alumni Chapter in Shanghai.

In the evening of November 12 it finally happened: Some interested Alumni of the ETH Zurich celebrated the forthcoming landing of the InSight-Mission on Mars with a guided tour through the special exhibition of focusTerra in the Lichthof of the ETH mainbuilding of the Departement of Earth Sciences. After the exclusive tour around the ambitious NASA project, the Alumni enjoyed a cosy apéro with white wine and home-made cake.

On 15 December, a small group of us took the chance to meet with the current ETH Rector, Professor Sarah Springman, at the exclusive venue of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in Kirribilli.

The Alumni from the Lake of Zurich and Zug Chapters went on a guided tour in the world-famous KKL (culture and convention centre in Lucerne). They were allowed a look behind the scenes and see for themselves what it takes to manage such a centre.
