Andreas Elmer

Andreas Elmer graduated with a Master in Environmental Sciences. Because he did not like statistics, he had decided against a degree in psychology. Today, he works for the staff at Swisstransplant that launched the National Organ Donor Register. He tells us about the importance of organ donation and that he works with statistics nearly on a daily basis.

Working for Development

On Wednesday, 11 December, ETH, HSG and LSE Alumni had the possibility to learn about job opportunities in the world of development cooperation. The Administrative Office organised in cooperation with cinfo an event on «Working for Development». Eight HR managers from UN organisations and international financial institutions shared their stories on their personal careers and more than 100 alumni from these three universities were present to get informed and network.

After one month only, the AMIV Alumni met for another “Stamm” again. This time however, it was due to a special reason: Simon Frei had decided to pass on his duty as president after 13 years.

On Thursday, 14th November 2019, 28 hungry civil engineers met at ETH main building to enjoy the yearly fondue chat. It was this year’s last event of the AIV Alumni. Good memories of the nice company, the excellent catering and the imposing views over Zurich from the “Dozentenfoyer’s” terraces.
