Golf weekend in Germany

The ETH Golf Group Alumni played two golf tournaments in Germany on the weekend of June 13-14. On the beautiful and difficult courses in Constance and Weissensberg in best weather, it was the mutual golf experience on the course and at the following cozy get-together that made the day whereas the results were only of minor importance.

Zahra Ariyafar

ETH alumna Zahra Ariyafar had a good job as a Pre-sales Systems Engineer in Tokyo, when she decided to change her career completely. To make her dream come true, she completed a Master’s degree in Management, Technology and Economics at ETH. She now works in human resources and is responsible for enabling employees to develop their careers. She is a great fan of mentoring programmes, as it has greatly helped her throughout her career.

On 4 May, the Institute of Agricultural Sciences launched its extraordinary anniversary with an online event. Agri-Food Alumni was also participating while getting inspired by nostalgic pictures, exciting future perspectives and lively interactions.

Despite the COVID pandemic, the Chapter Singapore Alumni is going strong with 88 registered members. In the 2021 virtual AGM, only the position of the vice president had to be newly filled due to the departure of Aurel von Richthofen. New members to the board are Teddy Low (Vice President) and Christoph Kanzler (board member).
