The department of Earth Science had the honor to receive two webinars from Ms. Stephanie Schnydrig, herself an ETH Earth Science Alumna. Ms. Schnydrig delivered two very informative lectures, one in German, the other in English, dedicated to science communication and science journalism.

ETH alumnus, Thomas Hug, obtained his Bachelor's and Master’s at what is now the Institute for Spatial and Landscape Development at ETH. To avoid having to decide between transport and spatial planning, in 2020 he co-founded an integrated planning office. Openness and creativity are important to him because he also has a distinct artistic streak. In this interview, the President of the ETH REIS Alumni talks to us about his career to date and the importance of networks and curiosity.

Chapter Luxembourg Alumni
After twelve events via Zoom, the Luxembourg Chapter invited once more to a traditional regular’s table on July 1, 2021. Nine alumni accepted the invitation, four were connected via zoom on a laptop.

The annual general assembly of VESUV happened at the end of June. About 30 members signed up for free Pizza. Of course, people watched the football tournament after the assembly.
