On October 13, the OG Ticino visited the company F.lli Puricelli SA in Riva San Vitale, where the first plant for the separation and recycling of plastics in the canton of Ticino was opened in 2021. The modern plant can split up to 9 different plastics and has a capacity of 6,000 tons per year.

The ETH Alumni OG Basel was able to organize a company tour with the topic of innovation and engineering at Endress+Hauser Flow. A tour through the various departments gave us an interesting insight into the company.

The Luxembourg Alumni Chapter hosted a get-together at the Brasserie du Kirchberg in Luxembourg on November 2, 2023. Nine alumni accepted the invitation: YE, GR, FM, CF, J-CSCH, TH, J-LF, GW, RM.

At the end of October, VESUV board members were invited back to ETH to attend the «Vorstandspizzaplausch» of VSETH. It’s an ideal platform for VESUV to promote itself and ETH Alumni in general.

On October 13, the two alumni associations HST and Human Medicine held a joint specialist event for the second time. The event on the topic of artificial intelligence and its application in medicine was discussed from various research, clinical and ethical perspectives.

The inspiring event at Sonova stood in stark contrast to the gloomy weather on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, when Chapter Zurich and AMIV Alumni invited alumni for a joint tour of Sonova's headquarters in Stäfa. Around 30 ETH alumnae and alumni were introduced to today's world of hearing and its future.
