ETH Alumni invited on 9th April 2019 to another Focus Event on the topic of «blockchain and crypto currency for beginners». The interest was immense; the event was fully booked with 90 participants. Dr. Christian Decker gave a first introduction to blockchain, Luzius Meisser then talked about crypto currency. Daniel Naeff from our Board facilitated the Event.

Daniel Meyer: «From e-bike producer to mobility provider»

Daniel Meyer

At the beginning of 2015, ETH alumnus Daniel Meyer founded his own company EGO movement. With his electric bikes in a retro look, he roughs up the market. He talked about challenges of a start-up on 27th June 2017. In another interview, he now talks about how his business changed from an e-bike company to a mobility provider.

Hardly any other discipline is as diverse as the one of Earth Sciences – each graduate is individually trained. In a world of change, this offers big opportunities but also has its risks. March 25, 2019 was a big day and the board of the Earth Sciences Alumni invited to presentations with a subsequent panel discussion about career development.

On the 10th career event of the faculty group Health Sciences and Technology (HST) on March 19, 2019, speakers of different HST related fields presented their career path and their latest job. 150 students, HST alumnae and alumni took that opportunity and asked their questions about internships, career entry, every day working live and training programs.
