The Swiss Ambassador, Roberto Balzaretti, welcomed alumni of the ETH Zurich and EPFL at the Swiss Embassy in the 7th arrondissement for a panel discussion on hydrogen and sustainability. At the presence of French Senator Gérard Longuet and Laurent Burelle, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Plastic Omnium, and himself ETH Alumnus, a diverse group of speakers gave their expert insight. Marc Perraudin, CEO of Plastic Omnium New Energies, Simone Wyss-Fedele, CEO of Switzerland Global Enterprise and Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez, Senior Researcher at Group for Sustainability and Technology, ETHZ discussed the full complexity of the topic of sustainable mobility and its future developments.

The discussion was followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience and a cocktail dinner in the beautiful rooms of the Embassy.

Two guests from Zurich

This event allowed Gilles Effront, President of the ETH Alumni Chapter France, to welcome Isabel Sauter, the Managing Director of the ETH Alumni Association, as well as Francesca Fuoli, in charge of the international ETH alumni community, who came from Zurich especially for this event. Alumnae and alumni also had the opportunity to discuss with them the latest changes and projects happening at the ETH and its Alumni Association and learn more about the cooperation between the ETH Alumni Chapter France and AFLZ.

The ETH Chapter France looks forward to seeing more alumni and alumnae in the autumn for the next conference, the theme of which will be communicated soon.
